Low Effort, High Reward = Egg Fried Rice
It doesn’t use any fancy ingredients, but there’s just something about the flavor that keeps you coming back for more.
I’ve made it so often that now I can whip it up in under 5 minutes! 😎
Now, authentic Chinese egg fried rice usually uses a lot of oil, but I go a little lighter on it — gotta cook with a bit of conscience, right? 😂
Ingredients
- Eggs
- Steamed rice (better if rice is cooled down)
- Sliced Garlic
- Chopped Green onion
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- Salt
How to make it
1.Start with a cold pan — add garlic and green onion right away so the oil gets infused with all that flavor.
2.Once the oil is hot, add the eggs and scramble them.
3.Push the eggs to one side, pour in 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, and let it slightly burn for that smoky flavor.
4.Mix everything together — eggs, soy sauce, and rice!
5.Add a pinch of salt if needed. You can also throw in a bit of butter at the end for extra richness.
That’s it — simple, quick, and seriously delicious!
It pairs so well with hot broth or mapo tofu — one bite of this fried rice with some hot soup, and it’s a match made in comfort food heaven.
