Attention Cat Lovers!

Koneko is such a unique and adorable spot, a must-visit for cat person. It’s a Japanese-style cat cafe, and it’s a special place where you can experience Japan’s cat cafe culture right in the heart of New York.

Need to make a reservation in advance. 1-hour time limit. The price is $25 per person.

From the outside, the cafe just looks like a regular coffee shop, but it’s more than that. Even if you don’t go into the cat area, you can still enjoy the cafe itself.

We ordered some coffee and enjoyed it while watching the cats. When you check in at the counter and tell them you have a reservation, they stamp your hand. Then, once inside, you can head into the space where the cats are, and they’ll check your stamp before letting you in.

Inside, there were so many cats! Some were sleeping, some were playing, and others were grooming themselves. The cats are split between the basement and the first floor, and all of them are adopted, which is wonderful.

The cafe also runs an adoption program, so the time you spend there isn’t just for your enjoyment, it helps the cats too. It was so heartwarming to see how well taken care of all the cats were. Watching them play around was simply adorable!
